16. Emily Elizabeth³ Sweeney (Michael James², John¹) was born in Lancashire, England 1864.

She married Joseph Yeates. Joseph was born in Parkside, South Australia 15 May 1863. Joseph was the son of Richard Yeates and Mary Bartley. Residences: St Leonards, Glenelg. Occupation: Dairy farmer, fisherman. Religion: Church of England. Married at Gawler and buried in the Brighton cemetery. Occupation: Domestic Servant before immigrating with her parents.

Emily Elizabeth Sweeney and Joseph Yeates had the following children:

55 i. Joseph George⁴ Yeates was born in Glenelg, South Australia 26 March 1887. Joseph died 26 September 1911 in Adelaide, South Australia, at 24 years of age. Residences: Glenelg and St Leonards, South Australia.

56 ii. Mary Hannah Yeates was born in St Leonards, South Australia 26 April 1889. Mary died 1952 at 63 years of age.

57 iii. Stanley Frederich Yeates was born in St Leonards, South Australia 19 April 1891.

58 iv. Arthur Pecival Yeates was born in St. Leonards, South Australia 1 August 1893. Believed to have had a son called "Bill"

59 v. Lucy Emily Yeates was born in St Leonards, South Australia 5 November 1895.

60 vi. Emily Annie Yeates was born in St Leonards, South Australia 5 November 1897. She married Christopher Proudman.

61 vii. Elizabeth Kimberley Yeates was born in St Leonards, South Australia 16 February 1900.

62 viii. Beatrice Elizabeth Yeates was born in St. Leonards, South Australia 25 July 1902. Known as "Milly"

63 ix. Jack Leonard Yeates was born in St Leonards, South Australia 27 February 1905.

64 x. Eric Michael Yeates was born 1907. Eric died 1976 at 69 years of age. Believed to have been slightly retarded and not married.
