31. William John Nettle⁵ Reed (John⁴, John³, John², Robert¹) was born in Tywardreath, Cornwall, United Kingdom 11 February 1851. William died 13 October 1914 in Torrensville, South Australia, at 63 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Ann Penrose in Moonta Mines, South Australia, 7 September 1876. Elizabeth was born in Kooringa, South Australia 5 July 1858. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Penrose and Ann Tregear. Elizabeth died 22 September 1954 in Mile End, South Australia, at 96 years of age.

William John Nettle Reed and Elizabeth Ann Penrose had the following children:

+ 60 i. Albert⁶ Reed was born 9 August 1877.

+ 61 ii. Jessie Reed was born 22 February 1880.

+ 62 iii. Leslie Clairmont Reed was born 25 September 1881.

63 iv. Stanley Rudolf Reed was born in Wallaroo Mines, South Australia 12 April 1885. Stanley died 28 September 1900 in Kadina, South Australia, at 15 years of age.

64 v. Sydney Garnet Reed was born in Kadina, South Australia 26 March 1888. Sydney died 11 December 1889 at 1 year of age.

65 vi. Frederick Cecil Garnet Reed was born in Kadina, South Australia 26 November 1894. Frederick died 1996 at 101 years of age. He married Dorothy Hall. Dorothy was born 1900. Dorothy died 1960 at 60 years of age.

66 vii. Florence May Reed was born in Kadina, South Australia 1 December 1899. She married Clarence Ray Bowey. Clarence was born in Maitland, South Australia 8 January 1900. Clarence was the son of William Bowey and Sarah Ann Barnes.
