139. Samuel Horace⁷ Sweeney (Beatrice Olive⁶ Brown, Sophia⁵ Reed, John⁴, John³, John², Robert¹) was born Gawler, South Australia 6 April 1913.

He married Adeline Rose Morton. Adeline was born 23 March 1914. Adeline was the daughter of Gordon Mine Morton and Martha Rose Jane Metcalf. Adeline died 21 November 1997 in Daw House Hospice, 700 Goodwood Rd. Daw Park, Sth. Australia, at 83 years of age. Known as "Horace" to his family as his father was known as "Sam" but preferred his first name Samuel and was know as "Sam" to his work mates and friends. His occupation was linesman for the Electricity Trust of South Australia for whom he worked most of his working life.

Samuel Horace Sweeney and Adeline Rose Morton had the following children:

+ 148 i. Rosemary Jean⁸ Sweeney was born 6 September 1942.

+ 149 ii. Janet Sweeney was born 1 September 1946.

+ 150 iii. Gordon Sweeney was born 17 October 1949.
