40. Edward⁵ Baldwin (James⁴, John³, William², Samuel¹) was born in Watergate, South Australia 2 April 1861. Edward died 14 July 1940 at 79 years of age.

He married Eliza Belle Penrose in Walloway, South Australia, 6 August 1884. Eliza was born 1859. Eliza was the daughter of John Penrose. Eliza died 12 November 1948 at 89 years of age. Residences: Macclesfield, Gawler Occupations: Waterworks Superintendent

Edward Baldwin and Eliza Belle Penrose had the following children:

97 i. Irslare Margaret⁶ Baldwin was born in Orroroo, South Australia 7 April 1886. Irslare died 7 April 1886 in Orroroo, South Australia, at less than one year of age.

98 ii. Elsie Baldwin was born in Petersburg, South Australia 29 September 1888.

99 iii. Irene Dianna Ann Baldwin was born in Petersburg, South Australia 5 August 1889. Irene died 23 November 1893 in Petersburg, South Australia, at 4 years of age.

100 iv. Edward James Baldwin was born in Petersburg, South Australia 22 October 1894.
