He married Florence Pearl Ellen Smith Moonta, South Australia, 27th December 1920. Florence was born 18 May 1901. Florence was the daughter of Thomas Edward Smith and Naomi Hall. Florence died 28 September 1973 Prospect, South Australia., at 72 years of age.
